Although, I do like to help where I can, I am not, however tech support for Firefox. I did do a search on this problem with the bookmarks. I went to http://mozilla.com and clicked on the "Support" button at the top of the page. On this page, in the list of common issues and solutions, there is a link that says, "My bookmarks appear to be missing". The link for this support page is http://kb.mozillazine.org/Lost_bookmarks
Good luck :)
